Can an existing member upgrade their membership using Wishlist Registration Widget plugin?

“I have Wishlist Registration Widget Premium. I use it in my sidebar for a free registration to one of my levels. I just created a second level that I also am offering as a free registration. I pasted in the shortcode at the bottom of a post for the second registration, but it gives me an error that my email already exists (which it does from the first registration). How do I make it possible to add the second free registration with your widget?”

Answer:

Wishlist Registration Widget was designed to attract new members to your website.

Because of that, there is real-time validation for all form fields and currently, there isn’t a way to upgrade an existing member.

There are 2 other options that can help you accomplish that:

1. One of them is Wishlist 1-Click Registration, which, in one of its features, allow you to put a registration form and since it was meant to use a portable form (you can use it even on websites that does not have Wishlist Member install on) there isn’t any real-time validation.

2. Another option is using Wishlist Smart Shortcodes with the Protection Add-On which will allow you to upgrade an existing member to a new level.

All 3 products are working in a different way and they complete one another.
