3. Choose how many protection changes you want that post to have (in the below screenshot):

Examples of How You Can Use Wishlist Auto Protect Pro:

Here are some examples on how our customers are using the plugin to give you some inspiration on how you can use it too:

1. Grant VIP Members Access to Premium Content before Other Members

Set the content to change the protection settings from VIP level to VIP + Regular level after X number of days

So in the first couple of days only VIP members will be able to consume the content.

That is also a great way to you to make regular members want to upgrade their membership

2. Create Urgency by Making the Content Completely Disappear after X Number of Days

That tactic is really great for creating urgency and making more people consume your content.

For example, let’s say you conducted a special workshop and you want people to watch the workshop’s recordings.

You can announce that the workshop’s recordings will be open for 7 days only, and after that the recordings will no longer be available.

You simply need to create a new membership level NO ONE has access to accept you, and define within Wishlist Auto Protect Pro that the posts with the recordings will move to a special level only you can access.

3. Give Content for Free for Limited Time and then Sell It

You can offer the content for free for X number of days and then make it paid content.

In continuation to example #2, you can even sell that workshop’s recordings after the 7 days are over.

You don’t have to make it disappear, but you can simply move the content to a paid membership, and people will be able to purchase access to it.

4. Drip the Content from One Membership Level to Another

You can decide to drip specific content and move it from one membership level to another, for example, if you want VIP members to get access to that content before anyone else, and every level below it will get access after a period of time, like this:

• VIP Members > Get Immediate Access
• Premium Members > Get Access after 7 Days
• Pro Member > Get Access after 14 Days
• Free Members > Get Access after 21 Days

Changing the Protection Settings in 1-Click

Answer:

Using Wishlist Auto Protect Pro you can set any post or page to change its protection settings automatically after any number of days or on a specific date.

After installing the plugin, go to the relevant post or page, scroll down to the regular Wishlist Member Meta Box and set the current protection settings.

Now scroll down to the Wishlist Auto Protect Meta box and define the new protection setting: first enable the automatic protection, then set the time or date the change will occur and finally choose the protection settings after the change. click Save an that’s it.

To make sure all changes are exactly as you want them to be go to the Auto Protection Queue tab in the plugin’s settings. Here you’ll find all the posts and pages, their current protection and future protection settings.

You can also add a simple shortcode that displays when the protection change will occur.

Many Wishlist Member users have been asking us how can they make specific content that is currently open for everyone closed for members only after specific time.

The Wishlist Member plugin has very good protection settings that enable you to protect any content under membership levels or pay-per-posts.

If you want to display members with specific content for limited time only and then change its protection settings so they will not be able to access it anymore then using Wishlist Auto Protect Pro you can do that and also notify members the content will not be available soon.

Benefits of Using Time-Limited Content:

If you completely deny access to the content after specific time – Create urgency for consuming the content

If you move the content to a higher membership level – Encourage members to upgrade their membership to continue to have continues access to the content

How to Display the Time until Protection Settings Change?

Just define the protections settings in the Wishlist Auto Protect Meta Box of the relevant post and add the shortcode : [ wlapp_time_until_change ] to the post itself and the time and date until the protection settings change will be displayed automatically.

For Example:

Post’s current protection setting – Non-protected

You have enabled the Wishlist Auto Protect Pro to protect the post in 1 day

The shortcode will display the time left until the content will become protected – In this case: “1 day 0 hours”

So you can add a sentence for example like this:

“This post will change before available for VIP members only in exactly [ wlapp_time_until_change ]. upgrade your membership now using this link (< link here)”
