One of the most common answers we get from clients when asking them which shopping cart they are going to use is: “I am open to suggestions”.

However, it is very confusing for many Wishlist users to figure out which shopping cart would be the most appropriate one for their needs.
In this tip we go over some of the most popular shopping carts used by Wishlist users according to statistic information we collected from clients.
We also help you find a shopping cart faster by giving you some guiding questions.

Guiding questions
What is your budget?
Using PayPal and ClickBank does not require you to pay on a monthly basis.
ClickBank has an account setup fee ($50 for the first account, $30 from the second account) + fee for every sale that is generated.
ClickBank’s fees are significantly high in comparison to PayPal and it is currently 7.5% + $1 per sale.
PayPal does not require any setup fee, only a percentage per every sale and transaction. You can check all fees in this link.
If you also want to use ClickBank as an affiliate platform then you should go with CB, but if not then you should go with PayPal.
InfusionSoft and 1ShoppingCart are both very expensive in comparison to ClickBank and PayPal, they charge a monthly fee, but they also give you a complete CRM solution with a lot more features and options, such as: affiliate management system, complete eCommerce solution etc. so it really depends on your needs.
Stripe’s fees are not so high (2.9% + 30 cent) per charge , but the service is limited to several countries only, so it may not be an available solution for you.
Do you want the payment process to be completed inside the website instead of going to an external checkout page?
If it is important for you that your members will not leave your site to complete the checkout process, the only shopping carts that allow it are Stripe and PayPal Pro.
How do you prefer to get paid?
Depending on the country your business is located in, different payment gateways offer different payment options (this is the payment method you are going to be paid).
You should check the payment fees each service charges according to your business location to be able to come to the right decision.
