In this tip I want to share with you some of the most important ones that help us maintain updated and relevant email lists on a regular basis.

Tips for Empowering Your Email Lists
1. Move your subscribers back to the beginning of the autoresponder sequence
If you have created autoresponders that are sent to your subscribers automatically on a regular basis, make sure you move them to the beginning of the sequence (back to day 0) when they complete the cycle (if the autoresponders are still relevant) OR move them to a new sequence.
2. Merge email lists
If you have multiple email lists for different purposes and the members are registered to an irrelevant email list, move them to a relevant one and, of course, don’t forget to notify them about it and why you have moved them.
3. Remove irrelevant subscribers from your lists.
Like in every email list, some of your subscribers have probably never opened your emails.
Clearing out your email lists from irrelevant email addresses / subscribers is important as it will allow you to manage your active subscribers better and will allow you to get more accurate statistic regarding your emails performance.
Set yourself the rules for deleting emails and filter all the emails that are relevant to that rules, for example: I will delete only subscribers who have been subscribers for 1 year now but never opened any of my emails.
Before removing these subscribers from the list I suggest sending them one last email with an attractive headline that notifies them they are about to be removed for good from your email list and that if they want to stay members they should accomplish an action (you decide what the action should be).
Don’t forget to write a good description in the emails’ title, something like: “Last Email before We Remove You from the List” or something a bit less harsh if you want, but that will make them open it.
4. Update your autoresponders from time to time
Updating your autoresponders and keeping them up-to-date is highly relevant.
Go over the list of autoresponders you have setup from time to time and check if any of the information / links need to be updated.
You might be surprised to see how by doing so you are increasing the response rates significantly.
