February 21, 2015 0 Comments
The members’ dashboard has a very important purpose: to allow your members to navigate through the membership site quickly and easily.
So the more targeted your membership site’s dashboard is, the faster and easier it will be for your members to find the information they need, and their engagement and overall satisfaction is more likely to increase (and so is the retention rate).
Many of our clients keep asking us how it is possible to create a targeted members’ dashboard that will display information according to each members specifically, and this is exactly what we are going to cover in this tip.
Creating a Dynamic Members’ Dashboard
There are 3 options, you can use them both, in order to add extra links and content that is relevant for the Advisors only:
Option #1: Using Wishlist Member Private Tags
Wishlist Member private tags allow you to display different content to different membership levels, so only members who are registered to the membership level specified inside the tag will be able to view the content.
The pricate tags can be defined inside any post or page, just click on the WLM blue icon > choose “Merge Codes” > Private Tags and define the settings, as seen in the screenshot below:
Option #2: Using Wishlist Widget Control Plugin
Wishlist Member has developed a plugin that allows you to display different sidebar widgets to different membership levels.
The plugin is called Wishlist Widget Control and you can read our complete overview of the plugin here
Option #3: Using Wishlist Smart Shortcodes Plugin
