Tip #33: Preventing from New Members Access to Old Content – Pros & Cons

If you are considering to prevent from your new members access to old content then the you are probably deliberating on which option is the best for you and which of them will attract new registrations and increase your sales, as the option you choose may effect your revenues.

In this tip we go over some important points that will help you decide which option.

 Pros

Creating urgency for new members and help them take action faster, because they know that the more time they take to think the more content they miss.

Being fair to existing members and not making them feel that they could have gotten access to the same content as new members. You pay for longer time > you get access to more content.

Cons

Different people have different learning curves – If you are preventing content from new members, you should consider that not all will be able to start from the exact same place, so the content that is open to them might not be that relevant for them, whether it’s too advanced or the opposite.

Some members might actually be interested in the content they cannot have access to which will prevent them from registering.

Which Option Should You Choose?

There are many ways you can sell your archived content and provide your customers with more value yet still maintain a seance of urgency and fairness to your senior members.
