Tip #51: How to Sell Multiple Posts using the Pay-per-Post Feature in One Purchase
April 30, 2015 5 Comments
Wishlist Member allows selling individual posts using the pay-per-post feature.
Selling pay-per-post content has many benefits, however, selling through the pay-per-post feature has a main downside:
You need to create separate purchase buttons for each pay-per-post, which means that each post needs to be purchased separately. If someone wants to buy several posts, he needs to make several purchases, which can extends the buying process, makes it clumsier and reduces the purchase rates.
How the Pay Per Post Feature Works
Each pay-per-post has its own unique SKU that is transferred to the payment gateway, and after the payment is successful, the Wishlist Member payment gateway integration “catches” this SKU and displays a registration form for that specific content.
Unlike membership levels, where you have more options to play, with PPP your option are limited and you cannot even sell more than PPP per sale.
If you want to solve this problem and sell multiple posts in one purchase using the pay-per-post feature, you can do that by integrating Wishlist Member and WooCommerce.
Benefits of Integrating Wishlist Member & WooCommerce
By integrating Wishlist Member & WooCommerce you will be able to:
Allow visitors to buy more than one level and create their own combination of levels (decide which levels to buy)
Allow visitors to buy more than one pay-per-post content without the need for you to create separate purchase buttons for each pay-per-post content
Allow visitors to buy both levels and pay-per-post content in one purchase
Enjoy all the benefits of an eCommerce store – Your Wishlist Member levels and posts are just like any WooCommerce product and you can enjoy all the benefits of selling through an online store
How to Integrate Wishlist Member with WooCommerce
Currently there 2 Wishlist Member & WooCommerce integrations plugins:
1. Using a plugin developed by WooThemes – The plugin is very limited and will not allow you to all things I have specified above.
2. Using a more advanced and enhanced plugin called Wishlist Member WooCommerce Plus that gives you more options and features that are not available in the WooThemes plugin.
You can check the complete comparison of the 2 plugins in Wishlist Member WooCommerce Plus product page.
