Tip #5 – Creating Membership Bundles with Wishlist Member

More and more people have come to realize the great potential in selling bundles and making a lot more money.

I have dedicated this post to bundles to show you how simple and easy it can be and how quickly you can increase your revenues.

Here are a few reasons why you should create bundles…

Why You Should Create Membership Bundles?

• To allow members to register or purchase more than one product in only one action (one registration/ one purchase only)
• To give members more options and packages
• To allow discounts to members who purchase more than one product/ level
• More options for your members = more revenues for you
• To engage members faster by giving/selling them access to a lot more content at once

These are only several ideas how you can profit from creating bundles, but the sky is really the limit!

Creating Bundles Using Wishlist Member

Wishlist Member allows selling bundles using the Sequential Upgrade feature.

If you want to allow your members to register to more than one membership level in one action (purchase/ free registration), you can achieve that by activating the sequential upgrade to the levels you want after “zero” amount of days.

To do that just go to Wishlist Member in the WordPress menu > Sequential Upgrade and choose all the membership levels you want to grant access to when the member joins one level.

For example, we created this bundle: Free + Silver + Gold Memberships registration

See screenshot below:

Now, every time a new member will register to the Free membership, he will be automatically added to the Silver and Gold memberships as well.

Test your bundle is working correctly:

To check your bundle is working correctly, you can simply run a registration test using the registration link in the Wishlist Member > Levels menu.

Copy the main level’s registration URL (in this case it’s Free) to a new window as seen in the screenshot below:

Complete the registration and now go to the Wishlist Member > Members menu and see if the member was added to all the levels you defined in the sequential upgrade (in this case: Silver and Gold):

Advanced Bundles Options

Though Wishlist Member plugin allows creating bundles, it does have some limitations.

Although there is an option to use the Sequential Upgrade feature for creating bundles, it is not the best solution and it makes the bundles option impossible in more complex scenarios, for example:

Creating combinations – If you want to sell level 1 + level 2 + level 3 in different combinations and bundles, but you also want to sell each level individually.

Avoiding mistakes – Also, using the Sequential Upgrade for multiple bundles can be very confusing an is presented in a non-visual way in the Sequential Upgrade settings, which can cause confusions and lead to creating wrong bundles.
