Tip #71: 4 Powerful Methods for Creating Bundles using Wishlist Member

Selling membership bundles will empower your membership site and increase your overall sales and revenues.

In this tip we have gathered 4 different methods that will allow you to easily sell bundles and increase your revenues.

1. Sequential Upgrade Feature

The sequential upgrade feature can be accessed straight from the Wishlist Member menu.

Wishlist Member’s sequential upgrade feature allows you to create bundles by adding a member to other levels when purchasing any of the other levels.

For example (as seen in the above screenshot): members who purchase access to Level 1 will be automatically added to Level 2 on the same day (when scheduling for adding after 0 days).

You can also drip the access to the bundle by scheduling the other levels to be added after any other number of days (or weeks / months / years) you choose

The downside of using the Sequential Upgrade feature is that you cannot create multiple bundles scenarios.

This solution can only be used if the structure of your membership site is not too complex.

2. From the Manage Membership Levels Settings

In the latest version of Wishlist Member (version 2.9) the Wishlist team have added improved upgrading options that allow you to set that when a specific membership level is purchased (or added in case it’s a free level), the members will also be associated with other membership level/s.

To associate membership levels go to the Levels tab in Wishlist Member, click to add a new level (or edit an existing one) and associate the relevant level under the Add to option (as seen int the above screenshot).

This feature is with out a doubt a great addition to the Wishlist Member plugin as it allows you to easily create bundles.

The downside of this feature is that it does not allow you to sell the level both as a stand-alone membership level and as part of the bundle.

3. Using Wishlist Bundles Plugin

Wishlist Bundles is a 3rd-party plugin developed by the HappyPlugins team to enhance and empower your bundling options that include the following unique features:

a) Allows you to create “virtual levels” & having complete flexibility in creating any bundle combination you want

A virtual level is a level that exists for the sole purpose of bundling several membership levels together.

So, for example, if you set “Beginners Level” to be a virtual level that bundles the following levels as bundles: Module 1-5, it means that members who purchase the Beginners Level will be members of Modules 1-5 only.

Having the ability to set levels as “virtual” gives you complete flexibility in selling as many membership levels as you want and in as many combination you want.

b) Allows you to sell each membership level both as a stand-alone level and as part of a bundle

This can be done using the “virtual levels” feature, for example: if you want to sell Level 1 both as an individual level and as part of a bundle you can do it like this:

• Setup 2 levels -“Level 1” and “Virtual Level 1”
• For the bundle – Set “Virtual Level 1” as virtual and associate it to the relevant levels in the “Level Bundles” field. This means that members will be registered only to the levels associated with “Virtual Level 1”
• For selling Level 1 individually – Leave “Level 1” as is (no unique settings are required within Wishlist Bundles. Members will be registered to Level 1 only

4. Integrate Wishlist Member with an eCommerce Platform

As eCommerce platforms provide you with the functionality of adding products to a cart and purchase multiple products at once, integrating your Wishlist Member membership site with an eCommerce platform will increase your sales and revenues significantly.
