Question

“If I want to use AWeber integration with Wishlist Auto Registration plugin, will I be forced to have my customers double opt-in?

Even though my campaign at Aweber is defined as single opt-in, when I do a test registration to my Wishlist Member membership site I am getting a confirmation email that forces me to approve my registration to the mailing list.

Why is it happening and how can I change it single opt-in?

Wishlist Member has a complete integration with ClickBank network, so if you are selling your products on ClickBank , you can easily integrate them.

If you are new to Wishlist Member and have started using Wishlist Member only after version 2.8 was released, you may not know that there is another way to integrate Wishlist Member Clickbank, other than the current Wishlist Member ClickBank integration.

Although this method is for people who are a bit more techies, you may found it more flexible in some scenarios, for example:

If you have multiple ClickBank accounts where you are selling different products, but you want to sell them through one Wishlist Member membership site.

If you are using the current Wishlist Member integration (version 2.8 and up), you cannot sell multiple ClickBank products through one Wishlist Membership site, because you need to insert your merchant account’s name in the integration settings.

However, you can easily accomplish this kind of scenario using the “old” Wishlist Member & Clickbank integration settings (that were available in the older Wishlist Member versions – before v 2.8).

Question:

Hi,

I’m having issues setting up WooCommerce and the Wishlist Member Integration Extension from WooThemes.

I’m using PayPal Advanced via the PayPal Advanced extension (also from WooThemes).

I’m also using the Genesis Framework and the Agency child theme.

I’ve read all the documentation for each extension and believe I have set things up correctly, but I can’t get things to work. So, there’s a good chance that I don’t have things set up correctly.

The issue I’m currently struggling with is as following. I can get to the point of checking out. I add my credit card data via the PayPal Advanced screen. When I click the button to process the order, I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wlmapi_update_member() in /home/cdonohue/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-wishlist-member/woocommerce_wishlist.php on line 311.

My credit card does get charged and the payment does show up in my PayPal account. There is no contact made with Wishlist Member, though. No new members ever show up and I’m never redirected beyond the error message noted above.

If anyone has seen this before, I could sure use some guidance. Thanks!

When you first install Wishlist Member without changing the default settings you can protect any post/ page / category on the website, but sometimes your website includes special content that is stored in a custom post type.

Examples for custom post types are: WooCommerce products, Easy Digital Downloads products or even a very simple custom post type like FAQs.

With the default settings you will not be able to protect this content as the Wishlist Member meta box will not be displayed inside the custom post types by defaults.

“Hi Bob, I’ve purchase the AutoRegistration Plugin and I’ve run some tests.

I tried to make a test purchase a membership level, and everything went perfect.

Then I tried to make a second purchase with the same email address, in order to test the purchase when the user is already a customer (therefore he already has an account in WordPress).

I noticed that a new password was assigned to the user, and therefore the old password was changed.

This is very annoying for a user, how can I change that?

Question:

I want to be able to automatically register my new members. They will be paying via Stripe or Paypal. I understand your Wishlist Auto Registration plugin does that.

1. Is there anything else I’ll need to purchase besides the Core plugin and the Stripe add-on?

2. How does this integrate with aWeber? When it automatically registers them does it also enter them into an aWeber list? I need to know how to make it all happen together or at same time.

Wishlist Member has a large and easy to use API commands, these commands allow you or any developer to extend the Wishlist Member core functions.

All plugins or scripts that want to interact with Wishlist Member like the plugins that we develop and sell on happyplugins.com (our online store) use the Wishlist Member API in one way or another.

Because the Wishlist Member API allows preforming many actions, including adding and removing members / levels, or even change the protection of a specific content, the access to these commands should be authorized and well protected to prevent external visitors access it and hack your website.

To prevent this Wishlist Member includes a special API key that needs to be used with any external API call. The caller (in most cases a script or a plugin) needs to authorize itself in every external API call by using the Wishlist Member API key.  Read more…
